Sterile gauze dressing helps keep the injury clean; protect outer edge with barrier film or ointment, generating a healing environment.
Hydrogel maintains moisture, covering the wound, keeping the gauze soft and moist as it conforms to the area bed and helps heal the injury.
Impregnated wound dressing also facilitates autolytic debridement.
